At Tomchei Shobbas In Jerusalem, we believe no family should struggle to celebrate Shabbos and Yom Tov with dignity. Through the generosity of our community, we deliver weekly and holiday food packages to local families facing financial hardship discreetly, respectfully, and with compassion.
What We Do
We are Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
Weekly Distributions: Fresh, nutritious Shabbos meals for 180+ families.
Holiday Support: Pre-Yom Tov packages for 250–400 families before Rosh Hashanah, Pesach, and Sukkos.
Discrete Deliveries: All assistance is provided confidentially to protect recipients’ privacy.
Who We help
We assist local families facing financial challenges, whether short-term crises or ongoing struggles. Those we help could be:
A coworker or fellow shul-goer.
A child in your son’s or daughter’s class.
A family you pass in the grocery store.
All names and details are kept strictly confidential.
Our Goals
Expand beyond food to address other critical needs (e.g., utilities, childcare).
Guarantee assistance for every family in need—no waiting lists.
Enhance package quality with more variety and fresh options.
Expand our current means of assistance beyond food access to address other community issues.
